Sprained ankles in basketball

It’ll be no surprise to learn that sprained ankles occur more often than any other in basketball injury.
When a player lands on another’s foot and goes over on the ankle, it affects the lateral ligaments (outside of the foot).

The chance of a basketball injuries either occurring or reoccurring can be minimised with the judicious use of basketball fitness drills which include basketball stretches and proprioceptive work.
